Description of key information

AMIX TE (Oxirane, reaction products with ammonia, distn. residues) is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of AMIX TE (Oxirane, reaction products with ammonia, distn. residues; CAS 68953 -70 -8) to aquatic invertebrates was studied in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 (BASF SE, 2010; study no. 50E0085/10E006). The test species was Daphnia magna. The test design was semi-static with a renewal of the test solutions after 24 hours. The test concentrations were analytically verified via the total organic carbon content of the test solutions. As the measured test concentrations deviated less than 20% from the nominal values, the results are expressed as nominal concentrations. The 48 -h EC50 for immobilisation was determined to be greater than 220 mg/L (based on test material). Therefore, AMIX TE is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
