Description of key information

The density of the test item has been determined to be 1.13 x 10 x3 kg/m3 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C using the pycnometer method, designed to be compatible with Method 109 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.13

Additional information

A reliability rating of 1 was assigned to the key study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in accordance with recognised guidelines and GLP.

Supporting information is available from a biodegradabilty study where the relative density to water was reported to be 1.19 at 20 °C.

A reliability rating of 4 was assigned, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as there was no data regarding the test to determine the relative density.

Supporting information is also available from an Arkema Safety data sheet. The result contained in this is given as 1.12 - 1.14.

A reliability rating of 4 was assigned as the safety data sheet is secondary source information.
