Description of key information

The freezing point was determined to be less than -20.0 ± 0.5 °C (<253 ± 0.5 K), using BS4633: Method for the Determination of Crystallizing Point, designed to be compatible with Method 102 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-20 °C

Additional information

A reliability rating of 1 was assigned to the key study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in accordance with recognised guidelines and GLP.

Supporting information is also available from 2 Arkema Safety data sheets (2007 & 2004). The results contained in these are -20°C and -30°C respectively.

A reliability rating of 4 was assigned as the safety data sheets are secondary source information.
