Description of key information

 The mean of flash point of the test substance was determined to be 174.9 ± 1.2°C according to EU Method A.9.

Additional information

The mean flash point of the verification standard, tetradecane, was determined to be 110.9 ± 0.6°C, comparing well with the known flash point of 112 ± 4.9°C for this compound, and confirmed the proper operation of the flash point tester. Corrected flash point of 3 replicates for the test substance were 174.2, 176.2 and 174.2 °C. The mean of flash point of the test substance was determined to be 174.9 ± 1.2°C (Data from Huntsman, 2013 study).
