Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance was found to undergo <10 % hydrolysis at all pHs at 50 deg C over five days. This indicates a t1/2 of >1 year at 25 deg C for pHs 4, 7 and 9.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The hydrolytic behaviour of the test substance as a function of pH was determined. The study was in accordance with the relevant EEC Directive. Hydrolysis was evaluated over five days at 50ºC at pH 4, 7, and 9. At each time point (0 hour, 2.4 hours and 5 days) an aliquot (3 mL) of the test solution was diluted with methanol and the test substance determined quantitatively by HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) using an ultra-violet detector. The test substance was found to undergo less than 10% hydrolysis over 5 days at the test temperature and all pH conditions studied. According to the test method this indicates a half-life of greater than 1 year at 25ºC at all three pH's.
