Description of key information
Performance of an adsorption/desorption screening or further tests is not required due to the low log Kow of the substance.

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening test does not have to be conducted because isobutyl-(R)-lactate has a low octanol-water partition coefficient (log Kow < 3). Likewise, further studies on adsorption/desorption behaviour (Annex IX) are not considered to be necessary.
