The substance has not a definite or unique structure and consists of several components Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF) were used and no specific analysis was performed. The content of the water soluble fractions of the test item during the exposure period was verified by DOC determination.

Short-term toxicity to fish: A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity to fish under static conditions following OECD 201.No toxic effects against fish were observed under exposure conditions (96 h-LL50 > 100 mg/l). The results are expressed in terms of Lethal Loading (LL) (Spoo-Klöppel, 2015).

Short-term toxicity to invertebrates: The acute toxicity to daphnia magna was investigated in a static GLP study following OECD 202. The study reported of no effects after 48 hours of exposure at a limit effective loading of 100 mg/L (EL 50 >100 mg/L).The result is expressed in terms of Effective Loadings(EL 50 >100 mg/L)(Spoo-Klöppel, 2015).

Toxicity to aquatic algae: The toxicity to algae was tested in a GLP study following OECD201. The study reported of no effects after 72 hours of exposure at the limit test concentration (ErL50 > 100 mg/L, NOELr >= 100 mg/L, LOELr > 100 mg/L). The results are expressed in terms of Effective Loading (EL) (Spoo-Klöppel, 2015).

All toxicity studies mentioned above are classified as acceptable and satisfy the guideline requirements for the toxicity studies on acute toxicity to aquatic organisms.
