A study was performed to assess the ready biodegradability in accordance with the OECD guideline study (OECD 301F) and in compliance with the OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice. After 28 days no biodegradation (0 %) was observed. The reference compound sodium benzoate showed 84 % degradation after 14 days (Spoo-Kloeppel, 2014). Thus, the substance is regarded as “not readily biodegradable” in water.
