Description of key information

-65.5 °C at 1013.25 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-65.5 °C

Additional information

A literature search was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. A Polymer Handbook reports a melting point below -60 °C. A publication cited in the NIST webbook states a melting point of -65.65 °C at normal pressure and the Knovel critical tables indicates -65.5 °C. Three independent literature sources report melting points that are all in the same range. The melting point of -65.5 °C was chosen as representative key value.
