Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Workers - Hazard for the eyes

Additional information - workers

DNEL derivation was performed in accordance to the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.8 Characterisation of dose [concentration]-response for human health”.

For workers no acute toxicity DNEL or DMEL for long term exposure - local effects needs to be derived as no specific acute toxicity hazard is identified and sodium hypophosphite does not cause irritation, corrosion and/or sensitization, respectively. Also no information on dose-response relationship is available.

No worker-DNEL long-term for dermal route-systemic and inhalation route were derived as no specific long term toxicity hazard has been identified.

General Population - Hazard for the eyes

Additional information - General Population

As sodium hypophosphite is not use by general population and no traces of the substance remains on end products after industrial use, DNEL derivation for general population is irrelevant.
