Description of key information

Relative Density: 1.0017 g/cm3 (ASTM D1475)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.002

Additional information

Relative density values of 0.984 g/cm3 (50°C), 0.955 g/cm3 (100°C) and 0.925 g/cm3 (150°C) has been determined for TOP using a method in accordance to ASTM D1475. An extrapolated value of 1.0017 g/cm3 (20°C) was determined. A value of 0.98 g/cm3 at 80°C is also reported in Drew and Propst 1981, this value is extrapolated to 1.2 g/cm3 at 20°C assuming a linear relationship between density and temperature. The substance has a density slightly higher than that of water at ambient temperature.
