Flash point: 470 F (243 °C)

A reliable flash point of 470 F (243°C) has been determined for TOP using an open cup (Cleveland) method according to Test Guideline D-803 ASTM. A similar flash point range of 400 - 420 F (204 - 216°C) is also reported in the same source for TOP.
Based on experience in use, TOP does not have pyrophoric properties and is not flammable in contact with water. It can therefore be concluded on the basis of available data that TOP is not flammable or highly flammable.
