1,2-Dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomers as

a mixture of oligomer derivatives TMQ is expected to be mostly insoluble in water (<1 mg/L). Therefore a study on hydrolysis is considered uncessary in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII and with section 1 of REACH annex XI. However, the dark controls of the photolysis in water experiment showed evidence that the small water soluble fraction of

1,2-Dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomers can be hydrolyzed with an estimated half-life of 16 hours. Meanwhile the half-life of

1,2-Dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomers n water in presence of light was observed to be less than 3 minutes.

iThe phototransformation half-life of TMQ in air was also estimated by using TMQ-dimer and TMQ-trimer as typical composition, which is in the range of 1.5 -2.0 hours and much less than 48 hours; and hence no potential of long-range transport

of 1,2-Dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomersv in air is expected.
