Description of key information

In accordance with a Column 2 adaption of REACH Annex VII section 7.5., this study does not need to be conducted as the melting point of tantalum is above 300 °C.

In accordance with the column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex VII, experimental determination of the vapour pressure is not required as the melting point of the substance is above 300 °C. A representative value as recommended by the Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Appendix R.7.13-2: Environmental risk assessment for metals and metal compounds of 1.0 × 10–6 Pa has been taken forward for risk assessment purposes.
