Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Value:
1 260 mg/kg bw

Acute toxicity: via dermal route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
discriminating dose
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

The oral LD 50 was determined separately for male and female animals. Female animals proved more sensitive and showed a LD50 of 1260 mg/kg bw while for male animals the LD 50 was 2000 mg/kg bw.

Dermal treatment of rats caused no adverse effects at a dose of 2000 mg/kg bw.

Toxicity after inhalation was not tested.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classified R22, harmful if swallowed, according to the oral LD50 in female rats
