Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: bring the victim in fresh air and let him rest in a position to facilitate breathing. Ask for medical advice.
After contact with the skin: turn out the contaminated clothes, shoes and socks. After contact with the skin, wash immediately the skin with a lot of water and soap. In case symptoms appears or in case of doubt, consult a physician.
After contact with eyes: After contact, rinse the open eye immediately > 15 minutes with flowing water. Additionally consult an ophthalmologist.
After intake by mouth: Immediately rinse the mouth and drink a lot of water. Ask for medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: strong water jet
Explosion hazard: the product in the delivered form is not capable to explode. Enrichment with dust kan cause an dust explosion.
Reactivity: During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases (SO2) may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Precautions by fire: precipitate dust by water spray
Extinguishing instructions: tune measures in accordance with the environmental. To protect persons and to cool the containers use water sprays in het area of danger.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Overall information: collect contaminated water separately, it may not enter the sewerage or wastewater flow.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment, Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid open fire or spark
Environmental precautions: Do not let product enter drains, sewerage or wastewater.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: collect in closed containers and drain to specialised companies. Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Collect dust in containers and wash out the remaining trace with water
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid inhalation of dust. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Use with adequate ventilation.
Storage: Measures against fire and explosion: use explosion safe equipment. Cool en dry storage. Do not store together with oxidizing products. Keep in a good ventilated room.

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures: enough ventillation and punctiform suction
2. Organisational protection measures: /
3. Hand protection: protective gloves (EN 374)
4. Feet protection: /
5. Body protection (and skin): avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. By formation of dust: use air-tight protection clothes
6. Eye protection: wear safety glasses (EN166)
7. Respiratory protection: by dust formation: in case of insufficient ventilation, wear a propriate air-purifying mask or respirator with filter A2B2P3
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: formation of toxic and irritating gases and fumes
Chemical Stability: stable under normal temperatures and pressures (as described under handling and storage).
Conditions to Avoid: dust generation (the measures depends on the fineness of the dust and installation), heat/ sparks/open fire/ heated surfaces, smoking
Incompatibilities with Other Materials: strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: oxides of sulfur
