Coefficient of variation for d50 is less than 3 %; d10 and d90 are less than 5 %. Thus repeatability of the characteristic particles in the size distribution are within the acceptable limits as per the BS ISO 13320 -1 test standard.

Conclusions:
The particle size distribution of sodium pentaborate granular was assessed according to BS ISO 13320-1:1999 and CIPAC MT 187. The coefficient of variation for d50 was less than 3 %; d10 and d90 were less than 5 %. Thus repeatability of the characteristic particles in the size distribution were within the acceptable limits as per the BS ISO 13320-1 test standard. The median (d50) was 170.849 μm.
Executive summary:

The particle size distribution study was performed according to BS ISO 13320-1: 1999, CIPAC MT 187 and OECD guideline 110 under GLP compliance. Determination of fibre length and diameter distributions method was used. The coefficient of variation for d50 was less than 3 %; d10 and d90 were less than 5 %. The median (d50) was 170.849 μm.
