Description of key information

The EC50(4d)  for Spirodela polyrhiza (greater duckweed) based on growth rate results in a value of 0.42 mg Tricobalt dicitrate/L.

EC50 for freshwater plants:
0.42 mg/L

Additional information

Data on chronic single-species toxicity tests resulting in high quality EC50 values (expressed as Co) for aquatic plants are presented in Table 2 of the WHO CICAD document, 2006 (see attached document).

Results are available for Spirodela polyrhiza (key study) and Azolla pinnata with EC50(4d) values of 0.14 and 0.24 mg Co/L respectively, and calculated values of 0.42 and 0.75 mg Tricobalt dicitrate/L respectively.
