HPLC method

Details on study design: HPLC method:
EQUIPMENT
- Apparatus: Modular HPLC System with UV/vis detector.
- Type, material and dimension of analytical (guard) column: 250 x 3 mm Nucleosil 100-5 CN (Macherey & Nagel)
- Detection system: UV/vis detector

MOBILE PHASES
- Type: water 1 acetonitrile = 9:1 (v/v) with 0.1 vol% H3P04, pH = 2.2
- Experiments with additives carried out on separate columns: no data
- pH: 2.2
- Solutes for dissolving test and reference substances: no data

DETERMINATION OF DEAD TIME
- Method: The dead time of the HPLC-system was measured withformamide.

REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- Identity: Acetanilide

DETERMINATION OF RETENTION TIMES
- Quantity of test substance introduced in the column: 40 mg of test item was weighed in a 100 ml volumetric flask and dissolved in water/acetonitrile = 9:1 (v/v). This solution was diluted 1:5 with waterlacetonitrile = 9:1 (v/v).
For calibration, small amounts of reference compounds were dissolved in 20 vol% acetonitrile (ultrasonic treatment) and the flask was made up to volume with water.

REPETITIONS
- Number of determinations: no data
