Description of key information

In accordance with Column 2 (adaptation statement) of Annex VII of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), it was considered justified to omit the oxidising properties study required under information point 7.13 as this substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of its chemical structure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

There are no chemical groups associated with oxidizing properties present in the molecule.

The structure of the test material was assessed for chemical groups that imply oxidising properties. Examples of such groups are nitrates, metal oxides, hypofluorites, difluoroaminopolynitroaryls, perchlorates, bromates and iodites.

Based on the chemical structure of the test material the result for the oxidizing properties has been predicted negative.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No oxidising properties can be predicted on the basis of chemical structure. On this basis, no classification with regards to oxidising properties is required according to Directive 67/548/EEC or Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
