Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Water solubility: 5.31 - 69.8 mg/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C (for the nominal concentration range 55 - 1004 mg/L), OECD 105, EU Method A.6 (shake flask), Affolter (2013)

Additional information

The water solubility of the test material was investigated in a GLP study which was conducted in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 105 and EU Method A.6, following the flask method. The solubility of the test material in water was determined from the measured concentrations of TOC in the filtrated test solutions. Under the conditions of the study, the solubility of the test material in water lay in the range 5.31 - 69.8 mg/L for the following nominal load range of test material 55 - 1004 mg/L. On average, 7.6 % of the test material was dissolved in water relating to the nominal concentration of the test material. It is believed that the test material contains a very well soluble compound which dissolves completely; the larger part of the test material is poorly soluble. As DOC as sum parameter was measured, this study cannot distinguish between water solubility and hydrolysis of the test material.
