Distribution of Bemotrizinol in the environment consists in almost 100% binding to sediment with insignificant release to air or water due to the extreme low water solubility (< 0.014 mg/L) and vapor pressure (5.9e-20 Pa at 25 °C), together with the relatively high binding capacity of the test substance on organic matter of soil (log Koc = 5.7 - 6.8). This high binding capacity also prevents significant leaching of the substance to groundwater when present in soil.
