Description of key information

- In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the study does not need to conducted, as 1,5-naphthylene diisocyanate decomposes rapidly. 
- The estimated Koc values for the hydrolysis product 1,5-naphthylene diamine, using different accepted calculation methods are between 19 and 4139 (Currenta, 2010).

1,5-naphthylene diisocyanate is characterized by a Koc of 6199 being calculated with PCKOCWIN v. 1.66 (Currenta, 2010). According to the method of Gerstl (1999) and Sabljec the calculated Koc-value is 4268 and 3625, resp.(Currenta, 2010).
