Results and discussion

Effect levels
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Effect level:
> 2 150 mg/kg bw
Mortality:
No signs of systemic toxicity were observed. One of four animals died during the experiment. The fatality was due to the severe eschar caused by this corrosive compound.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 5 based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The dermal LD50 was determined to be greater than 2150 mg/kg bw after occlusive application to the skin of rabbits.
