Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study, complete biodegradation of tetrahydrofuran and 1,4-dioxane occurs under enhanced conditions (35 °C and addition of nitrogen, phosphorus and other trace elements). Under ambient conditions, there was no biodegradation of tetrahydrofuran and 1,4-dioxane.
