Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant pathway of removal of UV-360.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The chemical bond between the benzotriazole group and the aromatic ring is generally expected to

be very strong and also able to withstand degradation due to hydrolysis and also

the aliphatic groups in the side chains of the phenol ring are functional groups that are expected to

be generally resistant to hydrolysis. Due to the high log Pow and the high adsorption potential to

organic carbon the substance will adsorb to sewage sludge and suspended organic matter when it is

released to the sewage treatment system, respectively to the aquatic environment.

Therefore hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant pathway of removal of UV-360.
