Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The photolytic degradation can be regarded as a negligible degradation path.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

It is expected that photodegradation in air is no relevant pathway for removal from the environment. As it is assumed that the majority of UV-360 will be emitted indirectly via sewage treatment systems and directly via surface runoff into the aquatic compartment, and considering the very low vapour pressure of UV-360, we conclude that the substance will not evaporate at ambient temperature. Therefore photolytic degradation in the atmosphere is not considered to be relevant for the PBT assessment in the light of the partition properties of the substance.
