The determined final result for water solubility of Methyl isobutyl ketone peroxide was an average result for the time points 24, 48 and 72 hours. The pH value of the samples, taken at the different time points, was measured with pH indicator strips.

Conclusions:
The test item is considered to be moderately soluble (100-1000 mg/L). The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 252 mg/L at 20 °C and pH=7.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.6, OECD TG 105 to determine the water solubility of the test item using a flask method. The determination of the water solubility was performed at a temperature of 20 ± 0.5°C. The test was carried out in 1 L Erlenmeyer flasks. At the time points 24, 48 and 72 hours after adding the test substance duplicate samples were taken from the flasks and were analysed with HPLC in combination with UV detection. The individual results of the time points did not differ by more than 15%. The water solubility was determined to be 252 mg/L at 20 °C and pH=7. The temperature at which the test was conducted varied from 19.9 – 20.1 °C, this is within the set quality criteria of 20 ± 0.5°C. Thus, no observations were made which cause doubt on the validity of the outcome of the study.
