Based on the kinematic viscosity of the test item at 40°C (arithmetic mean of 2 replicates) of 0.554 mm^2/s, for hydrocarbons a classification as Aspiration toxicity, Hazard Category 1 would be applicable according to REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP). However, the submission substance is an aldehyde. Thus, classification criteria based on viscosity do not apply to the submission substance.

 

In conclusion, according to REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) no classification requirements exist for the submission substance with regard to aspiration toxicity.
