Available MSDS data stated a flash point of 141°C. Therefore testing was initiated at 118°C (23°C below expected flashpoint, in accordance with test standard).

On runs 2 and 4 no flash point was observed and the test flame began to extinguish when directed into the cup. However in the other 3 runs a flash was observed at 132, 134 and 134 °C.

On completion of testing, the sample had turned dark orange.

The flash-point of the test substance was determined in a GLP-compliant study according to test method EC A.9 to be 132 °C at 102.0 kPa, following the closed cup method of Pensky-Martens (Younis S, 2012).
