Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
6.5
Type:
Pow
Partition coefficient:
640
Temp.:
30 °C
pH:
6.5
Details on results:
Preliminary estimate: The logPow was calculated to be 2.95.
Definitive test: Testing was carried out at approximately neutral pH with the test item in a non-ionised form. The chromatography of the test item showed one sharp main peak with a well-defined and reproducible retention time. The HPLC method was therefore considered to be suitable for the purpose of the study. Based on the chromatographic data, the test item was considered to be stable during the test procedure.

The retention times, capacity factor and log10POW value determined for the sample are shown in the following table:

Injection   Retention time [min]  Mean retention time [min]  Capacity factor (k')  Log10k'  Log10POW
 1  15.593  15.556     8.006     0.903     2.8
 2  15.520

POW = 640

Conclusions:
logPow (at 30°C and pH of 6.5) = 2.8; Pow = 640
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test substance has been determined to be 2.8 (at 30 °C and ph of 6.5), POW = 640 by using the HPLC method in a GLP study (2012) according to OECD 117 and EU method A.8.

Description of key information

The partition coefficient of the test substance has been determined to be 2.8 (at 30 °C and ph of 6.5), POW = 640 by using the HPLC method in a GLP study (2012) according to OECD 117 and EU method A.8.

Log Kow (Log Pow):
2.8
at the temperature of:
30 °C

Additional information

The key value was determined by using the HPLC method (EU Method A.8/OECD 117, 2012). As supporting information a calculation was performed with US-EPA software EPIWIN/KOWWIN v1.69, resulting in a logPOW of 2.95, which confirms the experimental result.
