Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Valid experimental study according to EU testing method A.6 (column elution method).
General Physical Chemistry, Schering AG, Berlin. Study report No. MA02 (APC 05/97), dated 1997-04-14.
Result: S < 2.8 mg/L at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The column elution method is based on the elution of the test substance with water from a micro-column, which is charged with an inert support material (quartz), previously coated with an excess of the test substance. After certain time intervals samples are taken and analyzed by HPLC until equilibrium is reached. The concentration of the test substance was below the detection limit of the HPLC method (2.8 mg/L) even after 6 days. Therefore, the solubility of mesterolonacetat in water was stated to be:

S20 < 2.8 mg/L

The pH of the saturated solution in water was 5.4.
