Additional information

Information about photodegradation is not required under Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 but to complete the data set additional information about photodegradation are provided.

The substance is rapidly degraded in air. A short half-life of 0.33 - 0.4 days in air is estimated for the substance following the approach of Atkinson and it is concluded that the substance will not accumulate in air and will not be transported through the vapour phase into other environmental compartments in relevant amounts. Thus, air is not a likely route of environmental contamination and no accumulation and subsequent deposition of the substance is to be expected. The substance is also not stable against direct phototransformation in aqueous solution and a relevant amount of the substance will be eliminated from the water surface (predicted DT50 of 1.2 -5.9 days) due to photodegradation. Photodegradation in soil is not seen as an important process in the fate of the test substance due to the lower DT50 values of 35.6-55.1 days. The substance is hydrolytically stable under environmental conditions. Therefore, hydrolysis is not expected to be an important process in the fate of the substance.
