- The surface tension of TIC2782 (T002907) in water (at a concentraion of about 0.1%) was determined to be 71.8 mN/m at 20.0°C +/- 0.1°C. Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC Guideline, T002907 is not a surface active substance.

The calibration factor was determined by measuring the surface tension of water and comparing with the value available in the laboratory instrument files.
The corrected value was taken from a table compiled on the basis of the Harkins-Jordan correction.
Description of key information
The surface tension of TIC2782 (T002907) in water (at a concentraion of about 0.1%) was determined in a GLP study performed according to the OECD Guideline 115, EU Method A.5 (Weissenfeld M, 2006) to be 71.8 mN/m at 20.0°C +/- 0.1°C. Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC Guideline, T002907 is not a surface active substance.
