Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
irritating
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Tetradecyl chloroformate was found to be irritating to the skin.
Executive summary:

After application of the test substance to the skin of rabbits, the mean value (24, 48 and 72 h) of the scores of either erythema or edema formation was calculated over all animals tested or for each animal individually.

The mean value for erythema formation was 2.67 (individual animals 2.33, 2.67, and 3.0) over all animals tested.

The mean value for edema formation was 1.33 over all animals tested.

The substance is therefore classified as irritating to skin according to EU criteria and as irritating cat. 2 according to GHS criteria.
