oral: The oral LD50 of Tetradecyl chlorformate was determined to be greater than 5000 mg/kg bw in rats.

Tetradecyl chlorformate was administered to five male and five female Wistar rats at a dosage of 5000 mg/kg bw via gavage. Since there was no mortality observed in the treatment group within the 14 days observation period, the oral LD50 of the test substance was determined to be greater than 5000 mg/kg bw. [BASF, 1984]

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification and labelling for acute oral is necessary according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) or Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (GHS (EU-CLP)) criteria.
