Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance is an organic salt, in which the cation (Co2+) in n-octanol could not be analysed. An accurate experimental determination of log Kow is not possible, therefore a calculation of log D instead of log Kow is considered as an appropriate method.

Nevertheless the partition coefficient of the substance was also determined with HPLC method according to OECD Method 117, the results proved that this method is not appropiate for metal-organic components as mentioned in description of the method. Additionally the quantitative determination was done outside of the range of measurement (before the deathtime peak was detected), therefore this determination of the partition coefficient was considered as not reliable, the values are only mentioned for completeness.
