Description of key information

LC50 (96h) 35 mg/l, NOEC 25 mg/l and LC100 at 50 mg/l for Oncorhynchus mykiss (OECD 203), RL1

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In an acute fish toxicity test according to OECD 203 and GLP, the 96 -h LC50 for Rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss exposed to dichloromethyl(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)silane is 35 mg/l, while no mortality (NOEC) was observed at 25 mg/l and 100% mortality was revealed at 50 mg/l (Fournier, 2012). Based on the expected rapid hydrolysis of the test substance into a mixture of monomeric and oligomeric products, the effects are contributed to the whole mixture and are presented based on nominal loading rates of parent test substance.
