The test item was formed into a particle train. A hot flame from a gas burner with a diameter of about 6 mm is used to ignite the pile at one end. In the preliminary screening test the substance does not ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. The test item just melts.

According to the definition in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008EEC the test item Oleyl Palmitamide CAS-No. 16260-09-6 is not considered as flammable.

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Conclusions:
Due to the ver similar structure and physical chemical properties tha result of the source substance is considered relevant for the target substance as well.

Description of key information

The test item

Oleyl Palmitamide CAS-No. 16260-09 -6, the read across source substance, was formed into a particle train.

Due to the very similar structure and physical chemical properties the result of the source substance is considered relevant for the target substance as well.
