Description of key information

The vapour pressure of DPG (1-3 diphenylguanidine)  was evaluated in a study performed in accordance with OECD testing guideline 104 and GLP requirements. The method used is the Knudsen cell effusion method coupled with a micro-balance. 
The vapour pressure of DPG extrapolated at 25°C about 3.7e-10 Pa. Two other publications gives about the same figure.

Three different records are put into the same way as the end points study records:

- Demangel study: the OECD method 104 was used, and no major deviation implemented. Three vapour pressure are determinate: at 81°C , P = 6.524Pa, at 90°C P=5.548 Pa and at 100°C P= 5.896 Pa.. Extrapolated, the vapour pressure of DPG at 25°C was found equals to 3.7e-10 Pa.

- Bayer 1988: The vapour pressure of DPG extrapolated at 25 °C is 4 e-10 Pa at 25°C.

- Bayer: The vapour pressure of DPG extrapolated at 20 °C is 17.4e-10 Pa.

Note that no indication of method used is given for the two latter.

As a conclusion, the vapour pressure of DPG extrapolated at 25 °C was found equal to 3.7.e-10 Pa.
