Workers - Hazard for the eyes

Additional information - workers

In accordance with REACH guidance (Appendix R.8-13; page 142 -144), the use of OEL (0.3 ppm) established in accordance with national legislation and practices by Austria (TRK TWA; TRK List, Grenzwerteverordnung 2007, BGBl. II, n. 243, 11 Sep 2007), Belgium (STEL; Exposure Limit Values, as amended through Moniteur Belge number 197, 11 June 2009) and Portugal (Ceiling value; Norm on occupational exposure to chemical agents (NP 1796-2004, Valores limite de exposicao (VLEs) profissional a agentes quimicos, 3rd edition, June 2004) is proposed for the purposes of this submission in place of acute and long-term DNEL(inhalation) values for workers. The OEL of 0.3 ppm (0.86 mg/ m3) for crotonaldehyde has been established based on the acute eye irritation and upper respiratory tract irritation.
