Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Significant accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For the determination of the bioaccumulation potential three different QSAR calculation have been performed on one structure of the uvcb substance.

(1) CATALOGIC v5.11.2: BCF = 7.29

(2) T.E.S.T. v4.0.1: BCF = 34.69

(3) EPISuite v4.10: BCF = 211 L/kg

According to these results, the substance is not considered to significantly accumulate in organisms.

Furthermore, the substance has a calculated log Kow of 11.6. According to ECHA's guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment R.11 (PBT assessment) the BCF of a substance is probably lower than 2000 L/kg if the calculated lo Kow is higher than 10.

Additionally, for the structure used for the calculation of the QSARs the DiamMax-average is 1.98 nm. According to ECHA's R.11 a DiamMax-average of greater than 1.7 nm can be used within a weight-of-evidence approach to show that the substance is not bioaccumulative.

In conclusion, significant accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.
