In vitro studies were carried out for both the skin and eye irritation studies and results showed that Hydrolysed reaction products of furan-2,5-dione and C15-18-(linear and branched)-alkenes did not cause any irritation. The design of the study does not allow for the derivation of an acute DNEL based on local effects or systemic effects. Therefore, it is deemed irrelevant to derive a DN(M)EL.

Based on the tonnage band of use of Hydrolysed reaction products of furan-2,5-dione and C15-18-(linear and branched)-alkenes, no data was generated to address repeated exposure and it is not deemed necessary to carry out a full exposure assessment for this substance. Therefore, a long term DN(M)EL for local and/or systemic effect is not established.
