Appearance:

Based on available data from safety data sheet,the chemical disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  was observed to be colourless to pale yellow coloured viscous liquid in appearance having fatty odour.

Freezing point:

Based on available data from safety data sheet,the freezing point of chemicaldisodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate was determined to be -5°C

Boiling point:

Based on available data from safety data sheet,the boiling point of chemical disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  was determined to be >100 degree C

Density:

Based on prediction done using ACD/I-Lab 2.0,the density of chemical disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  was estimated to be 1.165 ± 0.06 g/cm3

Particle Size Distribution:

The study does not need to be conducted because the test chemical is marketed or used in a non- solid or granular form.disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  is a colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid. Hence this endpoint was considered for waiver.

MPBPVP v1.43 was used to estimate the vapor pressure of disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate.The estimated vapour pressure of disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate at 25 degC was 1.14E-014 Pa.

Partition Coefficient:

KOWWIN v1.68 was used to estimate the octanol water partition coefficient ofdisodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate. The estimated logPow of disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  was 3.6597. This value suggests that disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  is hydrophobic in nature, which also supported by its low solubility in water.

Water Solubility:

WSKOW v1.42 was used to estimate the water solubility ofdisodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate.The estimated water solubility of disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  at 25 degC was 0.1209 mg/l.This value suggests that disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate  is slightly soluble in water.

Surface tension:

Based on the data from ACD labs, surface tension for disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate was predicted to be 45.3 ±3.0 dyne/cm.

Flash point:

The flash point of disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate (40754-59-4) was calculated to be 106.28 degree C. Based on criteria mentioned in CLP regulation the substance disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate (40754-59-4) was considered to be non flammable.

Autoflammability:

Disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C and atmospheric pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that disodium 4-oxo-2-sulfonato-5,8,11,14-tetraoxahexacosan-1-oate is not auto-flammable.
