Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
176.4 °C

Additional information

ISOPENTYRATE started boiling at 176.4 °C (449.6 K) at normal pressure (101.325 kPa).

One GLP study was performed in order to determine the boiling point of the Isopentyrate according to OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range), EU Method A.2 (Boiling Temperature), EPA OPPTS 830.7220 (Boiling Point / Boiling Range)

The boiling point was determined in triplicate using a Büchi B 545 boiling point device and the mean final temperature was retained.

The study was conducted according to an internationally recognised method, and under GLP. The substance is considered to be adequately characterised with its purity. Therefore full validation applies.
