Description of key information

The flash point of test substance was determined to be 57.5 °C with a continuously closed cup flash point tester.
ISOPENTYRATE is considered to be a flammable liquid (category 3) according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
57.5 °C

Additional information

The flash point of ISOPENTYRATE was determined under GLP according to EU Method A.9 (ISO2719:2002 and ISO 3679/3680 listed in EU Method A9) with a continuously closed cup flash point tester. The measurement was performed three times using a non-equilibrium method and two times using an equilibrium method. The mean flash point temperature is calculated using the flash point corrected for the atmospheric pressure.

The flash point of ISOPENTYRATE was determined to be 57.5 °C.
