Description of key information

A study with reliability 1 carried out on Chironomus riparius with an 80:20 mixture of 2,4 and 2,6-TDA gave a 28d NOEC of 125mg/kg (sediment dry weight, nominal concentration of 80/20 TDA)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10, LC10 or NOEC for freshwater sediment:
125 mg/kg sediment dw

Additional information

Available information on sediment toxicity

Two studies with reliability (1) and (2) were respectively recorded in this endpoint.

The study with reliability (1) has been defined as key study.

Information on the key study

This study has been performed according to OECD guideline 218 (sediment-water chironomid toxicity test) under GLP.

NOEC-28d=125 mg/kg (sediment dry weight, nominal concentrations of TDA80/20)
