PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: The test substance was stirred in deionized water for about 20 min at approximately 20 +/- 2 °C. The pH-value of the stock solution (pH = 3.0) was adjusted to pH = 7.5. The nominal concentration of the stock solution was 125.2 mg/l. Serial dilutions of this stock solution were then prepared in order to obtain the desired test concentrations.

At the test concentrations of 100 mg/l to 1.23 mg/l clumps of algae were observed in the inoculated vessels. After shaking the clumps were disturbed and the algae cells were uniformly distributed
