The test substance is acutely very toxic to aquatic invertebrates.

Additional information

Only one reliable study on short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates is available. In the key study (Institute of Industrial organic Chemistry Branch Pszczyna, 2012), young Daphnia magna (< 24 h old) were exposed to the test item for 48 hours in accordance with OECD guideline 202 (2004). Nominal concentrations of 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 mg/L were used. The chemical analysis confirmed the stability and correct concentration of the test substance (95.25 – 102.00 % of nominal after 0 h and 92.25 –100.00% of nominal after 48h).The 48 hour EC50 was determined to be 0.88 mg/L. Therefore, the test substance is acutely very toxic to aquatic invertebrates.

A second unreliable study is available. However, due to the high amount of emulsifier, a slight precipitation at concentrations >10 mg/l at 24 h exposure and the short duration of 24 h , the test was disregarded.
