Description of key information

- not applicable upon ignition
- no pyrophoric properties
- does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

- The flammability of a liquid is deduced from flash point and was determined to be greater than 100°C

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected

Justification for classification or non-classification

-The flammability of a liquid is deduced from flash point (and boiling point) and was determined to be greater than 100°C.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The evaluation of flash point for flammability of a liquid is based on the set criteria for C&L as outline in the Annex VI to Directive 67/548/EEC and in the GHS UN, 4rd revised edition 2011.

The theoretical assessments of Pyrophoricity and Flammability on contact with water are based on section R.7.1.10 of Guidance chapter R.7a of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

It can be concluded that the substance is not considered to be classified as a flammable material
